Bottle xylophone: Make music with bottles
You will need: 6 glass bottles, Wooden spoon, Water, Food colouring.
1. Fill
one bottle with water, then fill each other bottle with slightly less than the
bottle next to it.
2. Add

ஒரு குடுவையில் தண்ணீரை நிரப்புங்கள் மற்ற குடுவைகளில் அடுத்தடுத்த குடுவையில்
இருப்பதை விட குறைவான அளவு இருக்குமாறு தண்ணீரை நிரப்புங்கள்.

தண்ணீர் குடுவைகளில் உணவில் சேர்க்கப்படும் வண்ணங்களை வேறுபாடு அறிவதற்காகச்
சேருங்கள்.
3.
குடுவைகளை மூடிவிடுங்கள். தற்போது மரக் கரண்டி வைத்து நீங்கள் இசையை இசைக்க
முடியுமா?
Water music
Hitting the bottles
with spoon makes them vibrate and produce a sound. The
more the bottle vibrates, the higher the note will be. The
more water in a bottle, the less it vibrates, so less water means higher notes.
மரக்கரண்டியை
வைத்துக் கண்ணாடிக் குடுவைகள் மேல் தட்டி அதிர்வுகளை ஏற்படுத்தும்போது இசை
உருவாகிறது. அதிகமாக அதிர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் குடுவை அதிக ஒலியைத் தருகிறது. அதிக
தண்ணீர் உள்ள குடுவை குறைந்த அளவே அதிர்வுறுகிறது. எனவே குறைந்த அளவு தண்ணீர் அதிக

moment's thought, Birbal replied "there are fifty

sure?" asked Akbar.
Birbal said, "Make your men count, My lord. If you
find more crows it means somehow come to visit their relatives here. If you find less number of crows it means some have gone to
visit their relatives elsewhere." Akbar was pleased

கூறிய எண்ணிக்கையை விட குறைவாக இருந்தால் இங்கே உள்ள காக்கைகள் தங்கள் உறவினரைப்
பார்ப்பதற்காகச் சென்றிருக்கும் என்றார் பீர்பால். பீர்பாலின் நகைச்சுவையான
பேச்சால் அக்பர் மிகவும் மகிழ்ந்தார்.

disciples were thirsty. They reached a lake.

let the water and the mud be settled down on its own. Your
mind is also like that. When it is disturbed, just let it
be. Give a little time. It will
settle down on its own. We can judge and take best

ஒரு முறை
புத்தரும் அவருடைய சீடர்களும் தாகத்தில் இருந்தபோது அவர்கள் ஓர் ஏரிக்கரையை
அடைந்தார்கள். அப்போதுதான் யாரோ ஒருவர் தன் ஆடைகளை அலசி இருந்ததால் ஏரி
கலங்கியிருந்தது. எனவே தன் சீடர்களை அருகில் இருந்த மரத்தடியில் சிறிது ஓய்வு
எடுக்குமாறு கேட்டுக் கொண்டார். அடுத்த அரை மணி நேரத்தில் தண்ணீர் தெளிவானதைக்
கண்டனர் சீடர்கள். தண்ணீரில் கலந்த களிமண் அடியில் தங்கும் வரை நீங்கள்
காத்திருந்தீர்கள். அதுபோலவே தான் நம் மனமும். மனம் கலங்கும் போது அதனை தொந்தரவு
செய்யாமல் சற்று ஓய்வெடுக்க விட வேண்டும். சிறிது கால அவகாசம் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். மீண்டும்
தன் நிலைக்கு மனம் திரும்பும். நம் வாழ்வின் மிகச்சிறந்த முடிவுகளெல்லாம் அமைதியான
மனது எடுத்த முடிவுகளே!
இயல் 9 தமிழ்த்துகள்
A deer, a turtle, a
crow and a rat were friends. One day the deer was caught
in a hunter's trap. Friends made a plan to save him. According to the plan, the deer lay motionless as if it were
dead. The crow sat on the deer and started poking. The turtle crossed the hunter's path to distract him. The hunter left the deer, assuming it dead and went after the
turtle. Meanwhile, the rat chew open the net to free the
deer. The crow picked up the turtle and quickly took it
away from the hunter. From this Panchatantra story, we
learn that the teamwork can achieve great results.
ஒரு மான் ஓர் ஆமை ஒரு காகம் ஓர் எலி இவர்கள் அனைவரும் நண்பர்கள். ஒருநாள் வேடன் விரித்த வலையில் மான் சிக்கிக் கொண்டது. நண்பர்கள் அதனைக் காப்பாற்ற ஒரு திட்டம் உருவாக்கினர். அவர்கள் திட்டப்படி மான் அசைவின்றி இறந்தது போலப் படுத்துக் கிடந்தது. காகம் அதன் மேல் அமர்ந்து கொத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தது. ஆமை தன் பங்குக்கு வேடனின் குறுக்கே நடந்து அவன் கவனத்தை ஈர்த்தது. மான் இறந்து விட்டது என்று எண்ணிய வேடன் ஆமையின் பின்னே சென்றான். இடைப்பட்ட நேரத்தில் எலி வேடனின் வலையில் வெட்டி எடுத்து மானை விடுதலை செய்தது. காகம் விரைந்து சென்று ஆமையைத் தூக்கி வேடன் கைக்கு எட்டாமல் வெளியே விட்டது. கூட்டு முயற்சியால் சிறந்த வெற்றியை அடையலாம் என்பதே இந்தப் பஞ்சதந்திரக் கதை நமக்கு உணர்த்தும் நீதியாகும்.
