It's a blooming day. We are gathering herer to get knowledge. Thank god for giving me the chance. Respected principal, my beloved teachers and my dear brothers and sisters good morning all.I am happy to among with you.
Today we are living in a computer world. Nobody ready to spend time for others. We are running for luxurious life. But we don't know that we are not happy without other's happy.
That's why I recalled a great Greek philosopher Plato.
He is saying that empathy is the highest form of knowledge.
We got knowledge by reading books. Nowadays we get more from internet. But nobody can tell that how to feel others feeling.
We already know sympathy. But empathy is different from sympathy.
"Empathy is more powerful than sympathy"
The main difference between sympathy and empathy is that empathy involved sharing the feelings of another person. sympathy is feeling concerned for someone else situation.
Empathy is the ability to understand and share another person's feeling.
"Empathy is the medicine the world needs"
cognitive and emotional reactions can be experienced.
Empathy is a sign of intelligent. Intelligent leaders understand that. Empathy is the base for motivation. Motivated people can transform communities and lives for the better.
One who come out from his ego can understand empathy.
The ability to feel empathy allows people "to work a mile in another shoes" .
There are various types of empathy .
* Effective empathy helps to know other person's emotions
* somatic empathy help us to know others physical reaction
* cognitive empathy leads us to value others mental state so it is called "the theory of mind".
In our habitual life be must have empathy. It will give us good name from parents and teachers . One who want to maintain friendship relationship in a smooth way must have empathy. I am not a philosopher to explain you in a elaborate way. Just I indicate some points here.
